We are focusing our search on one of the lead roles:
MONA Character Description: MONA 12-15 years old, Indigenous Mexican or Central American (Oaxacan Mixtec or Zapotec a plus). She’s tough and would do anything for those she loves. Her life is complicated. She’s a girl of few words but uses skateboarding to express her grace, courage, and tenacity.

I hope this finds you well! My name is Diego and I’m working with casting director Abby Harri on Masami Kawai’s feature film Valley of the Tall Grass. The director is Ryukyuan, an Indigenous person from southern Japan, and is making a film that seeks to connect different Indigenous groups through an inanimate object: a TV/VCR combo set.
