This subtle and imposing naturally dyed and handwoven rug comes from the Teotitlan del Valle studio of Taller Tenido a Mano. The workshop, created by Eric Chavez Santiago and his wife Elsa Sanchez Diaz, are Oaxaca Cultural Navigator partners. It is 24 x 46 inches, made from 100% wool woven on the treadle loom. It is a small runner. The churro sheep wool is dyed with cochineal to yield shades of magenta, pink, and purple, with undyed gray wool.
