The whole experience of being in Mexico was very eye-opening and getting the chance to capture that with photography was fun. I learned a lot about my own skills. The assignment every morning helped my focus and I felt completely safe in the village and the city, says JoBeth Collister who attended 2012 Oaxaca Photography Workshop: Market Towns and Artisan Villages in July with her friend Itzia Rojo-Lesnick, both from Columbus, Ohio.
JoBeth captured the awesome magnificence of the 2,000 year old cypress tree at Santa Maria del Tule in the first few photos you see below. And, of course, there are ladders everywhere since building, cleaning and fixing are constant.
Our next photography workshop is set for an inspiring, mystical cultural immersion during Day of the Dead — still a few spaces left!
